About Barbara Augello and Health Ed of New England

Barbara Augello has been offering instruction in lifesaving skills through Health Ed of New England since 1989. Barbara is a certified EMT, and a certified CPR/First Aid instructor for the American Heart Association.  Barbara has over 20 years of experience teaching and leading groups and individuals. She is a member of Toastmasters International, where she has competed in and won speech competitions.  Barbara is also a sub distributor for Philips Medical.

With a Masters degree in Recreation Management, you know her classes are always fun!  Barbara’s leisure interests include walking, dancing, cooking, and meditation. Barbara loves animals and has frequently volunteered for the Standish Humane Shelter.  Barbara is passionate about promoting her values of health and wellness. She completed the Disney Marathon in January 2002, as a fundraising and educational effort for the American Stroke Association, where she raised almost $4000. Barbara has also given her time and energy to the American Heart Association, including their two major fundraising events:  Go Red for Women (designed to educate women about heart disease, the #1 killer of women), and the American Heart Walk.
